new art> Whale Cowboy

cowboy whale from Sketch Tuesday

This is a drawing with washes of brown ink I created and sold at Sketch Tuesday at 111 Minna in San Francisco. I like how it came out and am happy someone else can enjoy it.

Making more art at Wondercon 2008

So, before I posted images of art I created for others at Wondercon 2008, and now I get to show some personal pieces I did during the convention.

The first one is a fan piece, a watercolor painting of the villainous Maleficent from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty.

Then I used a photo I took on Saturday as reference to do a wash drawing on Sunday of two of the Steam-Punk gents. You an see them in the photo HERE.

Monsters and Thugs

Here are some new illustrations I created while mellowing out after a hearty Thanksgiving Dinner. They are created with washes of goash and then scanning them into the computer and adding digital coloring.

A imaginary rock band, the Monsters in a faux album cover. I might have to use it if I make any CD/DVD’s as gifts.

I like the look of the drawing and I feel very good about the simple use of color too.

I really like the vampire image, but I realize now that the upper arm is too long, but the coloring with a simple pallet that I have been using lately seems pretty successful.

What do you folks think?
