Now that I have decided that BTGC story won’t be finished by issue #3, I have the daunting task of making the story work over a longer/larger format. The issue for me is that I am an artist more then a writer, so the story work takes a lot more time. The good part is once I have the whole thing figured out, it will provide a road map for years to come.
The best part of doing the story in more issues/graphic novel is that a lot of stuff I was going to cut out can be put back in. Most of the elements where the little moments that a shorter, more modular format would have trouble with.
The rough draft of the script has come back from my editor (read: sister) and I have lots of loose ends to tie up, but the good news is that the final story will be more magical and memorable then before.
As the post prior to this one shows, I do thumbnails of the pages, this helps me to keep the story from having the writing become to stillted.
Now I need to get back to work.
I hope to be showing some of the artist work when it begins, hopefully, next week. I will also be posting pages as I go.
