Beyond the Great Chimney #2 and Anthology

I know, I know, you probably all think I have died, or at least my comic book has. But I/It is alive. I have busy at work with a goal of bringing you the continuing story of Victor Grassrootsâ„¢ journey Beyond the Great Chimneyâ„¢. As with many artists, it is always a struggle to create a story, while working a money job you don’t care so much about. But I am trying, for you dear readers (all 8 of you 🙂 ), to trudge ahead and provide you with not one, but at least two goodies in 2005.

First of all, in 2005, the website will be updated with a slightly modified design and new features. The design of the page will be streamlined a bit to make less levels to traverse and clear. I hope you like it when it premiers in January this month.

Beyond the Great Chimney #2: the Trip Beyond pt.2

Issue #2 is not dead. I printed a short run for Comic-Con this year, which was good. Well it was good since I discovered all my errors I had missed. So now I have a chance to improve and learn from my mistakes. So the final edition will include improved painted art and 32 pages of content (vs. 24 pages). In fact I am adding in 4 more pages of story in places where I tried to squeeze too much into the original 24 pages. This means the story will now be fleshed out to give more detail and story.

Our story continues as Victor Grassroot (an Unlikely hero), and Sir Tugert Vole (the ego-centric Knight) continue their search for Victor’s missing uncle, Ducelot.

Meanwhile, the Evil Wizard Agacon is plotting our heroes’ downfall, and his assistant Wendell is confronted with a difficult choice.

I am aiming for a Wondercon 2005(feb) release date, but it is not final.

Ambition Studios Anthology (Wondercon 2005)

I am proud to tell you about an exciting project I am a part of. The talented artist/writer Alexis E. Fajardo (Plato’s Republic and Kid Beowulf) of Ambition Studios is putting together an Anthology with many talented folks, which I am proud to be part of.

I have created a 10 page story, featuring BTGC’s hero Victor Grassroot as a shy 10 year old who has a run in with an annoying young troll, Prince BloatStone (seen in adult form issue #1).

The anthology will be available at Wondercon, February 2005. More info will be coming soon, including how to purchase the publication. Below is an image from the story. (note the story is in Black and White only)
