On the NPR show Day to Day there is a piece of the great German Animator, Oskar Fischinger.
At a time when most people equated animation with Mickey Mouse, Oskar Fischinger’s abstract films were taking animation in a new, challenging direction.
He produced some amazing animation set to music work (including Disney’s Fantasia), which can be seen at the NPR link. Check it out. His work has just been released on DVD.
