On October 28th, 2006 the PHILHARMONIA BAROQUE ORCHESTRA will be having a fund raiser and one of the auction items will be TWO HOUR PRIVATE CARTOONIG LESSON with me Brian Kolm. As part of the silent auction, there is an original piece of art called “In Harmony” It is done in pen and ink with watercolor washes.

Here is a drawing that Alexis (Kid Beowufl) Fajardo drew of Victor from Beyond the Great Chimney durring the SF Zinefest last weekend. It’s officially the first pin-up anyone has done of my characters. I am very pleased.
BTW: I still need to name the race of charcters, one which appears in the bottom left of the drawing. Any ideas?

Here are some of the custom drawings I created for my one of a kind, limited edition sketchbooks The Guide to Other Worlds at SFZinefest 2006 today.
The first one up was drawn for Laura. She is having her arm opporated on tomorrow and wanted to create a new image for herself with this Sexy one armed pirate who has lots of attachments. Good luck Laura with your opperation.

One person wanted Fone Bone in a Giant Robot.

And I illustrated a young singers nick name, Holy Cow.

Today was the second day of Zinefest2006. What is a Zine you might ask. A zine is a publication that is hand made and usually self-distributed. They might xeorxed, stapled, glued, silkscreened or sewen. They are both entertainment and a physical work of art. They vary in what they can be.
Here are a few photos from Zinefest 2006:

Here it is, the Zinefest (that was this weekend) Comic Jam. The first panel was created by Jeff Plotkin, and was followed by different artist. Each creative folk altered the story by what they drew for their panel on their turn. To read it on-line, click on the small thumbnails below (the go left to right, up to down,) for it to open in a new window.
