It’s monday and time for more Daily Drawings. This post has only a few since I did a catch-up post earlier this week (see it HERE).
This is the Chief Mechanic, based on a photo of a fellow artist. I would name names, but I don’t think the likeness is very good and so he will be a mystery unless you know him.
This drawing of a brave warrior uses reference of a past Halloween costume that I made for myself. The character does not look like me, but the pose and costume are similar. That is the great thing about reference you use in your art, it is a seed that grows something new (hopefully).
Drawing #19 is based on a photo, not of a live person, but a statue on a building I saw in the North Beach neighborhood in San Francisco. Originally the source was a man and only half of body and face. But I took it as a starting “seed” and went from there and arrived at this warrior goddess.
