#dailydrawings – February 2017 – Part 3

Two posts of drawing on the same day! Ya, that’s what happens when I miss a week.

This sketchbook is coming to an end, and you will see below I have reached the last page. So, I am trying something new, getting ideas from folks who follow me on Instagram. If it is still February 20th, 2017 and before 3pm (west coast time) AND you have an instagram account you can let your choice be known. This is only a test, which should lead to more in the future, I hope.

The drawings are being posted on my Instagram account, which you can see and follow HERE. https://www.instagram.com/briankolm/

Let’s go…

Random name superhero… Lady Eel! Can you tell what holiday it was when I drew this?

Random name superhero…Ax Marvel.

Random name superhero…Robo Cloak.

Fun facts: the shapes for his head are all medieval fantasy inspired, even though he is a robot.

Random name superhero…Cry Bot.

Thy badly trasnscribed lyrics behind the robot are  from “It’s all right to cry” from ‘Free to be, you and me’, a children’s edutainment that encourages us to be ourselves. The song has been one of my favorites and the message that a man should not fear to express his sadness. Listen to the song HERE

It’s all right to cry
Crying gets the sad out of you
It’s all right to cry
It might make you feel better

Raindrops from your eyes
Washing all the mad out of you
Raindrops from your eyes
It’s gonna make you feel better

Random name superhero…Pharaoh Shade.

note: I actually wrote Phantom Shade on the drawing, which is not the random name that I had originally.

and the final drawing for Today (Presidents Day in the USA BTW) is this blank page…

I have four choices of names for what I will draw in this afternoon (after 3pm on 2-20-17), and the result will be updated here in the following days.

You can vote if you have an Instagram account and comment with your choice. CLICK HERE

Thanks for checking out my art!
