Hey everyone. Time for some more Daily Drawings! My first daily drawings of 2015.
For my return to the Daily Drawings I am using one of my favorite challenges, using the watercolor ‘blobs’. I have gone ahead and painted about half of the pages in a small sketch book with random blobs of watercolor paint. This is a cheap sketchbook that I bought at IKEA and the paper is not made for watercolor, but in the end the blobs are just random shaped sketches that will be transformed with the lines on top.
Everyday I am transforming a blob or two into a character. Here are the current rules I am playing by (subject to change, of course)…
1) Rotate the page around till you see a possible character in the watercolor blob shape.
2) Take a pen or pencil of your choosing and draw on top of the blob to make a character.
3) As long as the blob dictates most of the drawing, it is OK to draw outside of it.
4) Always number the drawing, sign and date.
5) It’s OK to do more then one blob drawing a day. The idea is to draw more and be creative, not to be locked in by strict rules.
6) It’s OK to miss a day, but to make up for it later on.
Now, with that out of the way here are the first week of drawings…
