Fremont Comic Arts & Anime Teen Expo on April 25th, 2009

Looks like I will be at the Comic Arts & Anime Teen Expo in Fremont on April 25th. I have been before to help others, but this will be the first time I am going to be exhibiting and presenting. Should be fun.

Check out the official site: http://www.fremontanime.com/index.html

I am also looking for someone to help watch the table when I am doing my presentations, please let me know.

Comic Arts & Anime Teen Expo is Open to all ages

Comic Arts & Anime Teen Expo is now open to all ages – our main focus, of course, is still mostly for the teen-age person BUT you can come to the event if you are under 12 if you are in the company of a parent/adult guardian and we will have some special activities for you!

The full admission price for children 6 and over, teens and adults is $9 advance/ $15 at the door registration fee and receive the canvas goodie bag courtesy of Viz Media if they are one of the first 250 registered.

Children 5 and younger are $3 and they receive a snack pack. A parent/ guardian of a child between 6 – 12 are welcome to attend for only $3 when accompanying a full admission paying child. (info on youth activities at www.fremont.gov/teens)

And this year, elementary, junior high, and high school teachers are welcome to attend for $3 if they are attending a teacher workshop at the expo. (see Teachers have Extra Class at www.fremont.gov/teens.)

A thought: This event is put on by the city of Fremont, imagine how insane and large it would be if San Francisco put one of these on as well?

Registration
$9 pre-register
$12 at the door

Update: Time for Spring

Well, Spring is in full force and the sun is out and warming the Bay Area. Of course my allergys are up too and worse then ever, but that won’t keep me down too much. I am not much of a hot weather person, but I love spring with it’s half-way point of coolness and sun mixed together.

Spring is a time of change and new growth. Both are elements I am looking forward too this year. I have a big birthday coming up this month as well.

Here’s whats up:

- I am doing production work on the new Kid Beowulf graphic novel by colleague Alexis Fajardo.

- Creating some new graphics for a local non-profit

- Designing a logo for a local business.

- I will be teaching the Cartoon Boot Camp at the Cartoon Art Museum this summer as well as teaching at the Schulz Museum for a one week session

- I am going down at the San Diego Comic-Con in July with some new art to show. The trip will also included 2-3 theme parks.

- I donated some artwork to a favorite Disney theme park video podcast for a special story.
