TMBG "Bastard" video

Just posted today at TMBG.com is a new music video from the Venue album. It features some fantastic 2D drawn animation. From the newsletter:

This week’s new streaming video is one of the excellent bonus tracks off of the Venue Songs DVD - Bastard Wants to Hit Me with visuals from Laika House. Laika is producing the new Coraline film (directed by in-house genius Henry Selick) that TMBG will be creating songs for, and this video is a glimpse into their visual power. TMBG soundman and cineaste Brian Speiser has decreed this video “Awesome.” In our limited world travels we have found there is no higher praise possible for a video clip than that. We invite you to check it out.

Sincerely
John F., TMBG

All I can say is the video shows how great 2D drawn animation can be. And TMBG doing songs for a movie, wow. Check it out. Just click the button that says “Bastard”

NOTE: Laika used to be the Will Vinton studio before he was kicked out and the name was changed. There other projects are mostly CGI, but this video could hold the promise of some other styles as well.
