November 1, 2013 – drawn/posted a day late

Today is the start of my Daily Drawings for November. My challenge this month is to do one drawing a day, but in two phases: one day for a pencil sketch from a photo with an action pose and then on another day later in the month I will add detail/render in ink. My hope is that by the end of the month I will have some connections between the drawings.
My goal this year has been to do one daily drawing each day (besides the art I create for projects or classes) for all of 2013. So far it’s been an interesting experience with lots of experimentation and exploration…
In January I drew the alphabet and some sketchbook animation (the cat at the end).

In February I drew Superheroes and Villains…

In March it was a month of bunnies for Easter…(labeled as April, but it’s March)

In April it was the Denizens of the Magic Realm…

In May it was a May Mixer with different themes each week or none at all. Week 1 was vehicles of Superheroes from February. Week 2 was fan art of favorite characters. Week 3 developing a character. Week 4 is random stuff. Week 5 are symbols.

In June it was trying to come up with ideas for projects.

In July it was different characters who could be grouped by element or shape (only one ‘tribe’ is shown, but samples will be up soon for all 5)

In August it was mixed up animals for the ‘Creature Guide’…

In September it was just just no theme…

In October it was #inktober with all (i.e.) most of the drawing done with ink and brush…
