For todays entry for this months Denizens of the Magic Realms drawing challenge we have the musically magical Mille Accordiander. Mille comes from a small village in italy and can use her squeezebox to cast spells. Her spells are greatly effected by her mood as music and art in general can be. She is a free spirit who travels as the bards of old from village to town to city and back again. She once had a run in with the magical folk signing duo Joe and Daisy who she discribes when tipsy as pretentious fakers.
Note: this drawing was inspired by hearing a talented accordion player, Renée De La Prade playing at the Last Unicorn event for the Cartoon Art Museum yesterday. She was fantastic! Her subtitle is “Punk Folk French and Fabulous”. She also has self-published the Accordion Babes Album and Calendar which is pretty great.
