As many of you know I have been working with the Cartoon Art Museum over the last 14 year. I have taught classes, volunteered at events, organized events and had the pleasure of calling the staff my friends. But this year their rent was DOUBLED at their current location and they have to move and so they are going out with a bang with a cool fundraiser on Thursday September 10, 2015… a NIGHT OF A THOUSAND SKETCHES!
I have the honor of being one of the many artist who will be sketching during the event which will allow folks to help the museum out and get a custom piece of art crated right before their eyes. There are 36 artists who will rotate during the night with most sketches only costing a donation o $10 (or more). It’s going to be EPIC!
Here is some more information…
Join the Cartoon Art Museum as we celebrate our final days at our current location with a party featuring cartoonists, libations, giveaways, raffle prizes, and other surprises. Live music, specialty cocktails, and original artwork will be on tap—stay tuned for updates!
Artists from all around the Bay join the museum to celebrate 14 years at the 655 Mission Street location and help raise funds for our move to a new location!
