A bunch of quick sketches of folks I know.
Inspired by Japanese’s superheros of the 1970’s, especially Ultraman. The photo reference was actually of me, but now I am all “dressed up” thanks to ink on paper.
I am teaching a Manga/Anime class at the San Francisco Libraries this Summer and this inspired this chibi portrait.
This fisherman is based on a wood statue next to the restaurant I ate at in Half Moon Bay.
This fella was based on a photo of a performer at the Dicken’s Christmas Fair in San Francisco a few years ago.
