Crowds and Groups have been on my mind. After seeing the Tezuka show at the Asian Art Museum and his insane and detailed group shots in his comics, I thought it was time to see what I could do.
Here is a sketch I did last night. I mostly worked from the front to the back adding characters and trying to make sure that they all stood out.

Yesterday in one of the classes I am teaching, I spend some time doing drawings using bits of established characters. Here are the final results with a bit of color thrown in for good measure. The answers are hidden with white text between the – ‘s and an be seen when you highlight it.

Artist amd Performer Doc Pop was in the chronicle today talking about Yoyoing. Doc is a professional YoYoer (as well as a cartoonist). The photo is cool and you can follow the link in Doc’s post to see a video of him at the exploratorium performing, plus they explain how a YoYo works.
