Patriotic Pirates Party

What could be more American then a merry band of pirate from centuries ago.

I was invited to a party hosted by a member of the Tales of the Seven Sea’s group for the forth of July. So yesterday I headed to Redwood city, first to see the cities parade and then to go the celebration.

Here is a window at a local costume shop trying to use the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie to make sales. The window is very well done with great lettering.

I first saw the group in the parade.

The lovely Tortuga Kate poses for a picture.

Their ship the Land Shark was on hand, with the mermaid Sushi on board.

You have to watch out for the likes of Lady Jaxx, Poisen Quill, and Pirate Mum as they sword fighting with each other (my camera missed the shot sadly)

…and of course the grog and rum was flowing freely.

They even had a cannon, so watch out.

After the parade I made my way to the party which was hosted by Richard Becker at his home. Now these sea dogs could relax and feast.

Here Richard (the Gentleman on the right) shows us some of his work.

If any TOTSS folks can help me caption the pirates names, please comment or email me at staff@atomicbearpress.com. My memory is bad when it comes to folks I just met.
