Cartoon Art Camp – Day #1

Today was the first day of my week long class I am teaching at the Cartoon Art Museum. I have a great bunch of kids who seem to be very talented.

Today we worked on our shape basics, featuring the the standard 3 head high but with a punk rock twist. Richard Becker, a very talented illustrator and teacher suggested a few cool new assignments to try that worked out great. And we ended with a full model turn around from each of the kids. Tomorrow we take the next step to draw poses and actions, working towards more realistic figures.

If any of my students are reading this, Great Job!
