A while ago I was contacted by ImagineFX: the magazine of Sci-Fi and Fantasy Digital Art to do a piece of Silicon 2005 (Silicon 2006 was this last weekend). It is in the October issue and is part of the there Convention section. So I have officially been published in an international magazine. The photo of me is by Schulz Museum photographer Brooke Clyde and should have been credited to him. You can see more photos by Brooke HERE.
First off here is the first page of the spread. Click on the image to view the blurb about Silicon 2006.
And here is the other page, click the image to read the article I wrote:
The magazine is quite attractive and filled with some of the coolest digital painting s and art you can find. It is all about how-to create Digital Art and it provides lots of step by step example including a DVD with videos and files to follow along. I wish they would do a magazine like this with a less digital emphisis. Imagine how to paint with Alex Ross, Charles Vess, orBrian Froud or Inking with Jeff Smith or Tim Sale. An art boy can dream I guess.
