Lark Pien, artist in residence
Lark Pien is a very talented lady. She has created everything from Cartoons to Fine Art and all of it has that illusive appeal that many artist wish to achieve.
I ran into her last Sunday when she was the artist in residence at the Asian Art Museum. She was talking with kids and adults who were visiting the museum and working on some beautiful small paintings.
She also had her sketchbook open and I snapped a picture of some of her development sketches for a new project. She also had a finished painted page for a possible new Long Tail Kitty book for a local publisher.
I can’t say enough how much I admire Lark’s work and I look forward to some of the other new projects she has in the pipeline. AND the best part is that Lark will have her own art exhibit at the Cartoon Art Museum next month which will be cool.
