Christopher Crumpet - classic UPA cartoon short 1953

This is a delightful and simple cartoon. Very modern in it’s style and storytelling. Enjoy.

That was indeed delightful! Thanks for sharing it.

Shades of “One Froggy Evening” with the plot (the part about showing off the “trick”).

The style is indeed very modern and almost abstract. Though they did feel they needed to “frame it in” with the “real” (though only slightly less abstractly rendered) artist doing the “drawing”.

I like the throwaway bits like the pratfall at the dinner table. And the fish walking away after his bowl is commandeered for a helmet.

    Charming!
