Maurice Sendak on NPR

Illustrator Maurice Sendak is interviewed on NPR’s morning edition. He talkes about how his childhood shaped his books as well as his NEW pop up book “mommy!”

In Mr. Sendak’s books children are in peril all the time, but make it in the end. In the interview they speak about the idea that the world is not a perfect place and that it’s inperfections should not be glossed over.
