Santa the Barbarian

I just was checking out Scott Shaw’s Oddball Comics articles at comic book resources and found this new Holiday themed post. Santa the Barbarian.

When the list of “naughty” children dwarfs the list of “nice” kids, it’s up to Rob Liefeld’s SANTA THE BARBARIAN - and his flatulent pal, Rudolph The Radioactive-Nosed Reindeer — to take a more radical approach than “the old lump-of-coal-in-the-stocking schtick” to set things straight …

Scott writes:

SANTA THE BARBARIAN is a prime example of how the comic book market of the 1990s went completely out of control. Obviously meant to shock — and simultaneously amuse - its adolescent audience, this comic barely manages to maintain any coherence whatsoever. Not all that surprisingly, the concept of SANTA THE BARBARIAN was created by Image Comics co-founder Rob Liefeld….

Aren’t Oddball comics fun.
