Fan Art

Fan art I did for the ladies of the Moustalgia podcast. I had been given a promo ball point pen at Wondercon by hosts Dave and Jeff, but their co-hosts Becky and Kristin could not make it so I drew these fan-drawings for them with the pen I was given.

If you are a fan of Disney theme parks and Disney in general you should give it a listen. They have great discussions of different subjects as well as trip reports, interviews and other goodness.

This is my artwork I created to celebrate DC Comics 75th anniversary for the San Diego Comic-Con program book. A friend just texted me that she picked up one (Karen you rock!) and it’s on page 107. I really appreciated her picking me up a book since I can’t make it to the con this year.

I decided to focus on the supporting characters that are part of the DC comics mythology.

Exciting.

wondercon2009-01

Hey all. Due to a family emergency I will not be at Wondercon 2009 for the rest of the time. I am sorry to miss all my friends new and old, but it’s more important that I am with my family at a very emotional time. I hope that I will see many of in the near future. If you visit table AA 47 tomorrow, Sunday, there might be a special guest filling in for me.

Anyone intersted in getting an art comission I will be avalible soon to do so. you can contact me at staff Atomicbearpress dot com.

Here are some of the artwork I created at the convention on Friday.

A full color scene currently is $60. I really like how the character came out.

Full Color scene of a Dragon.

Full Figure of Martian Manhunter.

A Color Head and Shoulders drawing of WonderWoman.

Watchmens’ Night Owl in a head and shoulders piece.

Ulysse 31 was a cartoon TV show that appeared on Nickelodeon in the 1980′s. I never really saw much of the show as a kid since only my Grandmother and one of the neighbors had cable TV. The dubbing is pretty bad, but the design and animation holds up fine. It’s great that the 60′s, 70′s and 80′s had styling that holds well as fantasy. The story of Ulysse 31 follows the tale of the classic epic hero, but changing the setting to outer space. The show is in the rare category, but you can see the episodes on YouTube thanks to someone who taped them back in the day and keeping all this time. Click for a bigger image.

Chord Cat is a character by my friend John Cowan. He’s a cat that fights against annoying noises like Cel Phones, Growling Dogs, Honking Horns, etc. I decided to portray the hero as a spandex clothed mystery man, but the original is probably an actual cat-man. Click for a bigger image.

fan art: the Vision

[singlepic=492,320,240,,]

Just a fan picture of one of my favorite Marvel Supehero characters, the android Vision. This was rendered in ink with a dip brush and then colored on the computer. I tried to give the effect that his cape is translucent and the light is coming through.
