For Christmas I received a beautiful Moleskine brand sketchbook (thanks Peggy and Gene). Boy is it nice.
I usually buy cheaper sketchbooks because I go through them pretty fast, but this one has convinced me that the quality of the paper effects how I create. I am taking more time and filling the page up with art vs. doing one lame sketch and turning to a clean sheet.
The sketchbook is really easy to open up almost flat(great for scanning) and has a pocket to store ticket stubs, reference scraps and other flat things. It is made in Italy.

Now that my graphic novel production is in full swing, I thought I would start to give you some sneak peaks of what I am working on. This is one of the baddies from my novel.
Where is Victor, Kate, Sir Tuggert and Wendell you may ask, the heroes of the story? I am focusing on where the story presently is, and they do not show up till a bit later.

I am using the new version of blogger which allows labels to be given to posts and then you, the user can sort all the posts in that category. The categories are:
note: ALL the links in a category’s (images and all) will load in one page. Just a warning for folks with slow connections.
CONVENTIONS (45+) – Images and reports on conventions I have been apart of.
ARTIST (68+) – Links to writers, artist, painters, animators, etc.
COMIC BOOKS (50+) – Info on comic books mine as well as others.
BTGC (49+) – Track the happenings of my comic book/graphic novel Beyond the Great Chimney
and ORIGINAL (139+) – See all the samples of my artwork I have posted on the production log in one giant web page.

Well, it’s hard to believe this year will be over soon. Which means all sorts of exciting and nerve racking things going on.
Production of the BTGC Graphic Novel is going along well with a new schedule. My goal is to produce a book that will really WOW all of you folks who are fans of fantastical stories. I plan to have a nice surprise in store for everyone in late January/early February, but you will have to stay tuned till then.
