Beyond the Great Chimney features a cast of amazing characters, from the girl next door to powerful wizards, to almost a guy next door (except for the hoofs and horns). Here you can find out more about the heroes and villains. NOTE: The character descriptions go with Issue #1 and Issue #2 of BTGC and will be updated and altered for the graphic novel.

Victor Grassroot™- Reluctant Hero
Age: 32 Profession: Part-time apprentice potter. Skills: Minor skill in pottery and gardening, plant recognition, tracking. Relatives: Ducelot (uncle), Lord of the Forest (grandfather), Celestria and Hogarth Grassroot (parents) Home: the Village of TwigMound
History Victor Grassroot could be your average guy, except for the horns, tail, and hoofs he was born with. He is on a quest to save his kidnapped uncle, Ducelot, from the dark wizard Agacon. On the way he will make some new friends, and find the hero that lies inside himself. His adventure takes him through a magical portal, the Great Chimney.
Sir Tugert Vole™- Celebrity Knight
Age: 25 Profession: Celebrity Knight Skills: Apparently sword fighting, bravery, and heroic deeds. He also enjoys eating, flirting, and showing off.Relatives: parents, adoring fans?
History Throughout the kingdom this knight is known for his bravery and heroic acts. But he is far from home, in a place where know one knows who he is, or cares. The egotistical knight will have to face who he really is, and what he has become.
Katherine (Kate) Murphy
Age: 28Profession: former student at Oak Point University, secretary to Dr.Gryphon (aka the wizard Agacon) Skills: Intelligent and quick witted. Passionate.Relatives: Tilly and Shamus Murphy (Aunt and Uncle), parents presumed deceased HistoryKate has something to prove: that what we think of as myths, legends, and fantasy were and are real. But that all changes when Victor Grassroot and Sir Tugert Vole enter her life. She might have to ask the question she has been dreading.

Agacon, the dark wizard has kidnapped his brother Ducelot and Professor Lucy Ward, and escaped to a different reality through a strange portal in the shape of a Great Chimney. Along with his assistant Wendell and his pet raven, he plots the downfall of much more then his brother.

History
This large man, with his awkward sensibilities, serves the dark wizard, Agacon. Little is know of his background, except he seems to be bewildered by the basics of human nature. Wendell is very shy.

History
Kate’s beloved aunt and uncle, who raised Kate since the age of five. They are loving and supportive, and not afraid to speak their minds.

HistoryDucelot is a powerful wizard and Uncle of Victor Grassroot. He was kidnapped by his brother Agacon and is trapped in a magical pendent with his lover, Professor Lucy Ward.

History
Lucy is first seen in Agacon’s Pendent Prison along with Victor’s Uncle Ducelot, holding hands and in dismay. One of her business cards was found by Victor when he and Sir Tugert arrived at the Oak Point end of the Great Chimney.
