The art of Yoshitaka Amano

Yoshitaka Amano is the character designer for classic anime series Battle of the Planets/G-Force, Vampire Hunter D, and many others. Most recently he works in NY and Japan and does paintings, many featuring the characters he created.

There is something very sensual and sexy about his work while being both classic and timeless as well as modern at the same time. It’s hard to sum Amano’s work into words.

Some art highlights to me are:

Vegetables that he made into characters. NY Salad art

The panthor headed Guin Saga.

Micael Moorcock Fantasies

Wagner Opera Illustrations
